Lake Mackenzie is stocked with fish by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department with the following:
In order to fish at Lake Mackenzie, fisherman must purchase the appropriate daily fees (entry, boating); in addition, the fisherman must possess a valid Texas Fishing License. Anglers fishing from a boat must meet all requirements of the Texas Water Safety Act.
Lake Mackenzie provides opportunities for anglers to fish from the bank, or fish from a boat. Bait and tackle may be purchased at the marina.
